I am a Postdoctoral Scientist at the Czech Academy of Sciences and currently work with Dr. Jan Hrček on the eco-evolutionary dynamics of host-parasitoid interactions.
I do experiments with insects to address broad evolutionary and ecological questions about how individuals, populations and communities respond to environmental change (more on why they're amazing). This is especially important to study for climate change and rapid urbanization.
In my academic career, I have raised the equivalent of ~14 million INR to fund my research. I've raised funds from five international organizations (one corporate) based in the US and Europe, and three departments in the Indian central government.

Going forward, I am keen to apply my research, analytical and communication skills to real-world sustainability and communication problems. I am looking to enter a cross-functional role that bridges multiple sectors and stakeholders in a mission-oriented organization.
I received my PhD in evolutionary biology and behavioural ecology at the National Centre for Biological Sciences in Bangalore, India, with Dr. Deepa Agashe. I was born in West Bengal and raised in New Delhi. I currently live in České Budějovice, the capital of South Bohemia - perhaps most famous for being the birthplace of the original Bohemian Budweiser beer.
I love learning new things outside work. During my PhD, I started writing about science and exploring how performance art can communicate and teach (e.g., improvisational theatre and humour). Earlier, I won a national bronze medal in Taekwondo. I also trained in Odissi for 7 years.

Science can only get better with communication! I'm happy to hear from you via email, or any of the platforms linked in the panel to the left.
